Pride Prom 2025!

It’s prom season, so we’re celebrating Pride Month with Pride Prom 2025!  On June 24th, come join us for a glamorous and swingin’ evening of music, dance, and performance at the Woodchopper’s Ball’s inaugural Pride Prom.  Dress up, show your pride, have fun, dance to a live band, The Cottontails, and celebrate the art of human connection via partner dancing!

Dance Party

Featuring The Cottontails, 9:00-11:30pm!  The Cottontails are one of San Francisco’s most exciting, talented, and versatile swing dance bands around, playing a wide range of styles: 1920s Gatsby-era jazz, classic 30’s/’40s swing, and vintage ’50s/’60s R&B.  Something for everyone, and fun for all!  Featuring Karina Denike, whose “vocal prowess recalls traditional jazz chops with modern style, relevance, and soul” (The Owl Mag).  The dance party includes a Basic Swing dance lesson (9:00-9:15pm), perfect for complete beginners (no partner required)!

Performance

Beloved San Francisco drag queen Elsa Touche performs during the band break, 10:15-10:30pm.  Elsa Touche has appeared on drag stages throughout the Bay Area and beyond for many years.  Voted by SF Weekly readers in 2020 as Favorite Drag Queen in San Francisco, Elsa is also a co-hostess of the Monster Show, a former Ms. California Gold, and a former Crown Princess in the San Francisco Ducal Court!

After-Hours Jam Session

Musicians jam session in the lounge immediately following the dance party, 11:30pm-1:30am!  Bring your instruments and voices, and jam with other musicians!  All levels welcome!

Enjoy a classic cocktail in the swanky vintage bar and lounge!  8:00pm-closing (21+ only)!
